What is Tabata Training?
I frequently use Tabata training for myself as well as students in group classes to rapidly improve fitness levels and burn fat quickly.
Tabata is form of High-intensity interval training or HIIT in short. A workout will typically be a 20 second workouts with a 10 second resting period in between each workout.
I prefer using 4 different training exercises to work various parts of my body. These 4 exercised will then be 1 round. I would always push to complete 10 rounds of these exercises. Important to note that you never rest except for the 10 seconds allocated between exercises.

Even though the standard time limits are as above and like playing around with these time limits, rounds and workouts.
To track my time I use a Gymboss. If you own a smartphone you can download a free Gymboss application that work just as well.
The added benefit of Tabata is the amount of calories burned after the workout.
