Healthy Lifestyle

For many years, especially my early years, I did not believe someone if they would tell me that Abs are made in the kitchen.

Later years and after two phenomenal fitness mentors, I finally realized that the food you intake, not only makes a difference physically, but in your whole lifestyle.

Once I adopted a healthy lean lifestyle, I felt more energetic and positive in my everyday living.

The first important thing I discovered was that one need to opt into a healthy lifestyle and not diet.  A diet is not sustainable and one tend to “overdo food” once the diet is over.  A healthy lifestyle is sustainable and will keep you full of energy and in a good state of mind.

My week normally looks more or less the following.

Monday to Friday:

Breakfast at 5am: Oats or yoghurt with protein powder and chia seeds.

Snack at 7:30 – 8:00 am: Green apple

Snack at 10:00am: Green apple or protein bar or healthy nuts or cottage cheese / avocado on Ryevita or why protein shake

Lunch at 12:00pm: Quinoa with stir fry of healthy green vegetables, mushrooms, peppers, olives and chicken, tuna or salmon with cayenne pepper.

Snack at 15:00pm: Green apple or protein bar or healthy nuts or cottage cheese / avocado on Ryevita or why protein shake

Dinner at 18:00pm: Left over of lunch.

On weekends I will keep to healthy, lean options... but will do my cheats meals as well. Cheat meals preferably must not be take aways.

Keep drink intake to the following:

Water

Green Tea

Chai Tea

Buchu tea

About two cups of coffee per day (I struggle with this one J )

See my watermelon, lemon and basil leave refreshing drink

Keep away from the following:

Any sodas (“diet”soda include) or juice

Limit the amount of 100% juice as well.

I hope you find the information above helpful. Remember to subscribe to my newsletter J
